Misi yang diemban oleh Prodi Magister Pertanian Lahan Kering, Pascasarjana Universitas Mataram adalah menyelenggarakan proses pendidikan bermutu yang berbasis riset, menyelenggarakan kegiatan riset bermutu dalam bidang pengelolaan sumberdaya lahan kering, dan menyelenggarakan pengabdian pada masyarakat yang didasarkan pada hasil riset, membangun kerjasama dengan instansi pemerintah dan swasta, serta melaksanakan tata kelola yang efisien, efektif, transparan dan akuntabel.
