Abstract
This study aims to analyze environmental axiology and local wisdom in the management practices of the Bayan Indigenous Forest in North Lombok. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining various national and international journals related to community-based conservation, spiritual ecology, and indigenous forest management grounded in local wisdom. The findings reveal that the Bayan indigenous community has developed a conservation system based on the integration of cultural, religious, and customary values in forest management practices. The awig-awig customary law system, the Selamatan Olor tradition, and the ecological symbolism of the Bayan Beleq Mosque serve as important instruments in maintaining the harmonious relationship between humans and nature. Spiritual values and ecological awareness shape the community’s conservation-oriented behavior, which supports environmental sustainability. In addition, community-based forest management strengthens public participation and contributes to the sustainable preservation of natural resources. This study confirms that environmental axiology rooted in local wisdom can serve as an alternative model for natural resource management that is more sustainable, participatory, and socially equitable.
