Conflict of Interest

Unram Journal of Community Service (UJCS) is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, fairness, and independence throughout the editorial and publication processes.

A conflict of interest may arise when financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, the implementation, evaluation, or reporting of community service activities.

Conflicts of Interest for Authors

Authors must disclose all relevant potential conflicts of interest, including:

  1. Financial support from government agencies, companies, nonprofit organizations, or other funding institutions.

  2. Professional or institutional relationships with community service partners.

  3. Commercial interests related to technologies, products, or services introduced during community programs.

  4. Personal relationships that may influence program evaluation or reporting.

  5. Other interests that could compromise the objectivity of the manuscript.

Conflicts of Interest for Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

Reviewers should decline assignments when personal, institutional, financial, or professional relationships may compromise their impartiality.

Conflicts of Interest for Editors

Editors must not participate in editorial decisions involving manuscripts where they have significant conflicts of interest.

Such manuscripts must be assigned to an independent editor.

Disclosure Statement

All manuscripts must include a Conflict of Interest Statement.

When no conflicts exist, authors may use the following statement:

"The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest related to the community service activities and publication of this manuscript."

Management of Conflicts

Disclosure of a potential conflict does not automatically result in manuscript rejection.

The Editorial Board will assess the nature and significance of disclosed conflicts and implement appropriate measures to maintain transparency and editorial independence.

Failure to disclose significant conflicts of interest may result in editorial investigation or appropriate post-publication action.
