Abstract

Education plays a very important role in preparing quality human resources. The implementation of an independent curriculum encourages and challenges teachers to be creative in facilitating students to think critically, explore, create, and experiment by utilizing various sources in the learning process. Researchers are interested in developing teaching materials to help teachers and students in the learning process. This development research aims to produce teaching materials in the form of a science module with a problem-based learning model with an ecotourism perspective in Tahura Nuraksa NTB. The type of research used is Research and Development with a 4-D model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The development strategy for this module contains several characteristics, including (1) using a problem-based learning model, (2) containing natural phenomena related to Tahura Nuraksa NTB that are observed directly; (3) facilitating students in developing students' thinking skills systematically, critically, logically, and analytically so that they are able to formulate their own learning conclusions with confidence; and (4) use concise, clear, easy to understand and comprehend language and use supporting images related to the phenomena being described.
